Logistics Compliance Program Manager

170399 Logistics / Compliance Program Manager (Open)
Seagate Technology is looking for a Logistics / Compliance Program Manager to join the Consumer Solutions team.
This position can be either located in Cupertino, CA or Longmont, CO and will report to the Director of Consumer Solutions Group Logistics.

In this role, some of the main responsibilities will be: Logistics Compliance: reporting, projects, QBRs, interactions with AM/LSP/Logistics/Carriers and Customers.Understand and challenge customer Logistics (document and store customer routing guides, define correct process to fulfil customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement compliance reports
  • Chair and support compliance and logistic compliance meetings with other internal groups, logistic service providers, and customers
  • Manage projects to ensure logistics compliance for labeling, packaging, packing, shipping, delivery and EDI perspectives.
  • Identify root causes for Seagate to receive Logistics Compliance related fines and implement corrective actions Logistics Service Level and performance
  • Define, implement, and review reports to monitor Logistics KPIs (cost, time, quality) as well as define improvement opportunities
  • Ensure data integrity
  • Monitor actual execution performance vs target
  • Review on-time shipping and resolve exceptions with other Seagate groups and Logistics Service Providers as well as expectations with other Seagate groups
  • Review DIT / MIT and resolve exceptions with other Seagate groups and Logistics Service Providers
  • Improvement projects (mainly US and but also WW)
  • Define project scope and objectives
  • Run improvement projects with other Seagate groups and Logistics Service Providers
  • Document processes and best practices

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Administration, logistics, supply chain, engineering or related field.
  • BS and 8-10 years of exp., prefers MS and 5-7 yrs of exp. or PHD and 3-5 years of exp

Preferred:

  • At least 8 to 10 years working in logistics, traffic, supply chain, and operations support areas ideally for multiple companies in a Retail environment
  • Experienced in managing Logistics Service Providers in cost negotiation, process setups and performance management
  • Comfortable with relationship with other departments, customers and suppliers
  • Good analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Comfortable with IT (ERP, WMS/TMS, EDI and Reporting tools)
  • The position requires to be at least 1 week per month in Cupertino and/or LA area
