Global Trade Compliance Leader
F100 based in TX
Description
Develops, manages and implements the trade compliance strategy, programs and
projects to ensure compliance with export control and import laws/regulations in
all countries where we do business. Builds a strong trade compliance network to
ensure the company’s policies and procedural standards are achieved. Monitors
government programs and regulatory requirements to ensure the company’s standing
with Customs and Export Control Authorities as a responsible importer/exporter.
Reviews and reports on compliance effectiveness, reports areas of risk,
recommends solutions, obtains guidance, and provides support for required
improvements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in US export/import regulations and global trade
compliance (preferably high tech, multinational)
- Licensed US customs broker (or equivalent experience with the ability to
obtain a license)
- Knowledge of compliance in US, Europe, Asia, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico
desired
- Background in working with related laws and regulations such as the
Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms
Regulations, the Office of Foreign Assets Control sanction regulations, US
Customs' Border Protection and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
- Ability to understand technical product functionality to determine
related global export or import requirements.
- Ability to work across global functional organizations partnering with
legal, finance, operations, etc.
