Customs Broker
The National Customs Broker and Freight Forwarder Association of America (NCBFAA)
Educational Institute (NEI) is seeking an experienced customs broker or
import/export professional to join our team. The NEI administers the Certified
Customs Specialist (CCS) and Certified Export Specialist (CES) programs, as well
as coordinates the educational outreach efforts of the NCBFAA.
Responsibilities Summary:
Coordinate educational programs; serve as a customer representative for our
CCS and CES members; coordinate webinars, seminars, and meetings; coordinate and
administer member information, renewal notifications, event communication, and
marketing of educational programs and certifications; assist with program
marketing; serve as a liaison to speakers, trainers, partner associations, and
conference coordinators; be the face of the NEI programs in all communications
and appearances.
Requirements:
- 1 - 2 years experience as a customs broker; freight forwarder, OTI, or
NVOCC; or as a compliance, traffic, importer/export coordinator for a U.S.
import or export company.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Advanced Skills with various software/computer applications including
Excel, Word, Windows, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of the customs brokerage, freight forwarding, and
import or export fields that serve as our core customer base.
- Qualified to work in the U.S. (no VISA applications supported for this
position) and pass a background check
Desired:
- CCS and/or CES Designation
- Customs Broker License
- College Degree
