Trade Compliance Manager opportunity we seek individuals who look forward to

The Import/Export Compliance Manager will be responsible for establishing and
maintaining an international customs compliance program for the Company.
Function as the "in house expert" for U.S. import and export trade regulations,
managing and enhancing processes and procedures while mitigating risk and
company exposure. Also manage other Service Providers (i.e. Broker) within the
Logistics Division to ensure an effective and efficient Supply Chain.
Essential Duties:
50% -
- Develop, implement and manage international custom compliance procedures
and serves as the central figure in the minimization of risks to the Company
- Monitors customs regulations, adjusts procedures and advises
appropriate parties of changes
- Manages the daily relationship and performance of the customs
broker(s)
- Develops, leads and maintains training programs for associates
involved in international business
- Serves as liaison among all areas and interacts with Customs
officials, internal and external Legal council, internal stakeholders and
external agencies to build a solid reputation for adhering to Customs
regulations

- Audit procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with
regulations
- Drive product classification process to ensure proper duty rates
- Establishes and maintains import document files in conjunction
with the Corporate Transportation Department in accordance with regulations

- Evaluates performance metrics for customs brokers & carriers
- Negotiate SLA with supply chain partners (Broker) and monitor
performance
- Negotiate rates, fees, etc.. for brokerage services
Requirements:
7+ years' of apparel retail customs experience including: strong knowledge
and proven expertise in federal import and export laws, regulations and business
applications, international freight forwarding processes, customs interface,
ocean transportation, internal audits and comprehensive understanding of supply
chain operations
- Customs Broker's License preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite required (advanced skills in Excel;
intermediate skills in Word, PowerPoint and Access), along with ability to
understand and evaluate supply chain visibility tools and other
Transportation Management systems
- Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills,
with strong attention to detail and follow up
- Proven problem solving skills with ability to identify, analyze
and resolve serious customs issues
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
with ability to implement and conduct training programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team
member and interact with all levels in a cross functional environment
- Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task and
maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment
