Job Objective:
- Develop and execute the Global customs and international trade strategy
of Hexion across the all divisions and regions
- Ownership of Global Logistics compliance
- Interpretation of governmental policy and translation towards Hexion’s
requirements
- Ensure full compliance of all Hexion sites with all international trade
& customs regulations regarding Hexion’s import and export activities.
Essential Functions:
- Build a Customs team capable to handle all required customs activities
and maintain outcome of current Customs projects as part of Compliance
program.
- Ensure international trade and customs compliance for all locations with
the existing or future customs licenses.
- Manage all customs licenses and develop uniform policies and processes
for all Hexion locations.
- Manage the Global network for the operational customs execution to
guarantee duty drawback and identify other duty savings opportunities.
- Independent communication and negotiation with Customs authorities.
Education / Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent. Extensive exposure into the legal arena regarding
specific international trade and customs legislation.
- 15+ years working experience in customs related jobs within industry and
government
- Excellent functional and technical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Multiple language skills and multiple cultural knowledge
Special Requirements:
- Global travel will be required, expectation 30%.
