Description:
Provide primary support to L-3 MID Program personnel, serving as a point of
contact for Foreign Trade and Compliance issues related to ensuring compliance
with import and export regulations including U. S. Customs (CBP), Export
Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms (ITAR), U. S.
Treasury Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), and Permanent Import
Regulations (BATF). This includes the import and export of products, services,
transfer of technical data, and all other import/export licensing and compliance
matters.
Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance concerning the requirements and obligations of
exporting export controlled articles and services under the ITAR and EAR.
- Assists in preparing license applications, Technical Assistance
Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements and other requests for approval
to the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, U.S. Dept. of State.
- Determines and certifies appropriate legal authority for exports of
defense article hardware, technical data and defense services.
- Prepares export documentation, export screening, and import/export
classification assignment for shipments in and out of the Greenville
facility.
- Will be available as needed after hours
- May participate in compliance audits and investigations and conduct
internal compliance training programs.
- Works with Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker to clear shipments
through U.S. and other country customs agencies.
- Create and maintain shipping and compliance procedures and work
instructions for program.
- Manage Broker and Freight Forwarder performance for program, includes
auditing transactions, maintaining work performance metrics, and compliance
with standard operating procedures.
- Will assist the Sr. Export Licensing & Compliance Advisor in preparing
license applications, Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License
Agreements and other requests for approval to the Directorate of Defense
Trade Controls (DDTC), U.S. Dept. of State and Bureau of Industry and
Security (BIS), U.S. Department of Commerce.

Qualifications:
- Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts,
practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point.
Knowledge of SAP and EASE systems is a plus.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- B. S. degree and four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
