Regional Logistics Manager

Location: Hong Kong or Singapore; and New Jersey
Reports to: Director, Global Trade Logistics

Summary

AT&T has two Regional Logistics Manager Positions available: one to cover the APAC Region, and another to cover the Americas. Both positions are within the Global Trade Organization and will assist and support the Director of Global Trade Logistics in the development and execution of internal strategies for ensuring a competitive and compliant supply chain, and provide regional subject matter expertise on forward and reverse logistics.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate implementation of competitive import /export procedures and practices that provide a sustainable competitive advantage to AT&T in the region.
  • Develop procedures relating to Global Customs regulations: country of origin, HTS classification, Incoterms, Customs valuation, Customs broker and forwarder management, documentation and recordkeeping
  • Establish training programs around these processes
  • Act as the central clearing house for vetting and developing new cross border trade models, as well as for specific deal reviews
  • Conduct risk assessments and transactional reviews to identify compliance gaps and process inefficiencies. Identify processes to close gaps and partner with business organizations to facilitate implementation of improvements.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities in the supply chain in the region.
  • Assist in establishing working relationships with brokers, agents and forwarders, partnering with the Supply Chain & Fleet Operations Organization.
  • Identify, assess and facilitate implementation of projects related to cargo security, customs clearance and import/export documentation.
  • Provide operational support for non-standard transactions.
  • Collect and compile statistical volumes, values, transactional data, trade lanes and other information to provide a summary of global footprint and projected growth to use for assessing risk on a regional basis and identifying strategies for risk management and cost savings opportunities in the supply chain.
  • Communicate monthly and/or quarterly reports/metrics.
  • Support Global Trade Organization activities, as required.

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA / Master's degree (International trade related) a plus
  • 5+ years related work experience in a Fortune 500 Global Company
  • Requires a strategic thinker with good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience leading and managing project teams across various business organizations
  • Ability to work independently and identify and define global trade priorities for the region and organization
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to articulate business process flows through decision trees/process mapping
  • Customer focused, and flexible to evolve as the business or priorities change
  • Knowledge of global security initiatives
  • Essential: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; desirable: Visio and Access
