Senior Export/Import Trade Compliance Analyst
The import/export trade compliance analyst is responsible for processes
ensuring compliance with applicable Government regulations. Work closely with
cross-functional groups in order to implement processes and procedures. Conduct
training and perform compliance audits. Assist with ongoing improvements to the
import/export compliance systems. This position reports to the Global Trade &
Compliance Manager (GTCM).
Qualifications:
- Global Trade and Compliance expert consisting of demonstrated 5+ years
of international work experience managing Global Trade programs for
Manufacturing (FGI) and spare parts including import, export, warehousing,
distribution, transportation, duty, brokerage, customs, compliance and
3PL/4PL external service providers/partners) across the Americas, Europe,
and Asia Pacific Regions.
- Extensive knowledge of global regional trade and/or harmonized tariff
and Customs expertise in multiple countries required
- Knowledge of duties, taxes and other typical import and export fees
required.
- Knowledge of corporate trade compliance programs and issues desired.
- Ability to drive information technology automation projects as the
business liaison
- BA/BS Business Administration or other relevant area
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Interacts regularly with internal clients, individually and in team
settings, providing guidance and oversight on Trade matters and integrates
Export regulations into daily client operations (includes: Deemed Exports,
product and technology classification including CCRs where appropriate,
product and technology Export Licensing, as well as guidance on the full
range of Trade issues.
- Analyzes reports and manages important Trade data such as: Export
License expiry dates; Export License conditions; ENC Reporting Requirements;
etc.
- Supports business wide compliance of US government regulations
concerning import, trade agreements, and global operations.
- Interfaces with product development, production planning, procurement,
manufacturing, logistics, accounting, and suppliers to determine and/or
validate classification, valuation, country of origin, and marking
requirements.
- Determines correct Harmonized Tariff classification for both
import/export transactions and supports development and maintenance of a
centralized, automated import/export database.
- Manages Record Retention for department.
